Morgan Stanley has hired Citigroup's Michael Kagan to drive its structured mergers and acquisitions (M&A) business, including spin-offs and spin-off transactions.

Michael Kagan is Head of shareholder Advisory and Structured Solutions, North America, Citigroup. Prior to joining Citigroup, Kagan spent nearly a decade at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., where he worked on transaction structures. He began his career as a tax associate at the law firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
