Allen & Overy (A&O) and Shearman Stirling (Shearman) have announced the first management members of the two firms' forthcoming A&O Shearman. Additional management members of A&O Shearman will be drawn from both firms and announced in due course.

 

Following the election, Khalid Garousha and Herve Ekue will serve as senior Partner and Managing Partner of A&O Shearman, respectively.

 

Adam Hakki, current senior Partner at Shearman, has been appointed co-chair of A&O Shearman's global Board and Executive Committee and leads A&O Shearman's U.S. practice, serving as Chairman of the U.S. business. In addition to his management responsibilities, Adam will continue to actively serve his clients.

 

Doreen Lilienfeld will serve as co-managing partner of the U.S. practice while continuing to serve clients.

 

All of the above appointments will take effect on May 1, 2024.
