Desmond Kuek is reported to join Temasek Trust as its chief executive effective January next year,per a report by Strait Times.
In this new role,he will be part of a team that seeks to advance philanthropy as a force for good.
At UBS Singapore, Kuek chairs the UBS Optimus Foundationwhich gives clients a platform to use their wealth to drive social and environmental change by giving out grants to programmes related to children’s health, education and protection as well as those that tackle environmental and climate issues according to the portal.
Prior to UBS,he was chief executive of transport operator SMRT for close to six years.
