Dentons hires Kate Barton, Global Vice Chair of EY, as Global CEO

Dentons (" Dentons International ") has announced that Kate Barton, Global Vice Chair of EY (" EY "), will become the firm's Global CEO.
Kate Barton joined EY as an intern in 1985 and has been with the firm for over 35 years. She was a managing partner for EY in several regions and offices and became Global Vice Chairman of the firm in 2022.
Dentons' current Global CEO Elliott Portnoy was previously Global CEO of SNR Denton. Since the merger of SNR Denton, FMC and Salans to form Dentons in 2013, he has served as Global CEO of the law firm. He also worked at Arent Fox, an American law firm.
Kate Barton will join Dentons in early September and take over as Global CEO on November 10.
