Paul Hastings announces that Scott Joachim, a leading private equity/M&A transaction and venture capital lawyer in Silicon Valley, has joined the firm. Scott Joachim, with deep and extensive experience in the technology sector, will serve as the Global Vice Chair of Paul Hastings' Private Equity practice.
Joachim has represented several leading private equity firms, venture capital firms and companies in the technology sector. His clients are mainly private equity firms in Palo Alto, California, such as financial institutions like Accel-KKR and Goldman Sachs, as well as fast-growing start-ups like Symphony Communications. He was previously a partner at Fenwick & West, where he built private equity and fintech practices.
In addition, David Ambler, a high-profile attorney in the areas of capital markets, public company advisory and venture capital, has joined the firm as a partner in the corporate practice. Previously based in Cooley's California office, Ambler assisted technology and life sciences companies in all stages of their growth cycles, focusing on emerging growth companies and pre-IPO and public companies. He also advised underwriters such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan on public offerings and private financings.
