Indonesian-listed e-commerce marketplace Bukalapak has set up a research and development centre in Melbourne,Australia,as part of its efforts to tap into the global talent pool.
Bukalapak set up its first offshore technology hub in the state of Victoria amid the local government's push to attract global companies to create jobs and bring innovation.
The Indonesian company is looking to create 65 full-time jobs over the next five years. The centre will hire a team of senior-level engineers to focus on analytics, AI, and other R&D activities. Bukalapak is also exploring partnership opportunities with local universities.
