Indian edtech startup Classplus, which offers digital platforms for coaching centres, said it has appointed Ankit Sood as its head of global growth, who will lead the startup's international expansion.

Sood is the former chief revenue officer for Oyo in APAC, and his appointment comes a week after Classplus raised a $70 million Series D round led by Tiger Global and Alpha Wave Global. He has led multiple business verticals across different geographies at startups such as OYO and Zomato over a career spanning 15 years.

Sood was also one of the founders of the e-commerce shipping and enablement platform Shiprocket, who later became the finance chief of the company.
